QUATTROSOUND is an innovative acoustic ensemble that skillfully blends their classical and jazz training with a wide-range of personal music influences to create a uniquely engaging sound. The four musicians are equally astute at playing a Bach Suite, rocking out to Led Zeppelin or interpreting a piece by Chick Corea. Their playful passion captures enthusiasm from audiences of all ages.

With violin, cello, guitar, an eclectic selection of percussion instruments, and creative vocal arrangementsQuattrosound produces a vibrant live show. Hailing from Japan, Mexico, Guatemala, and the United States, their music selections are as diverse as their nationalities.  In an effort to inspire their broad range of listeners

Individually these four accomplished musicians based in Los Angeles have played with the likes of Bocelli, Barbra Streisand, Yo-Yo Ma, Annie Lennox, Michael Jackson, Layla Hathaway, Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan.

Together
,Quattrosound raises the bar of originality with clever compositions and arrangements that "pay homage to the classics" and forge a new contemporary sound.

Leah: violinist at the age of 19 won a tenured position in the 1st violin section of the Austin Symphony Orchestra becoming the youngest member on staff. After moving to L.A. she has performed with legendary world music duo, Strunz and Farah. She has also toured to various jazz festivals including Montreal Jazz Festival, Buenos Aires, Panama City and the Olympia in Paris. Leah is now a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. She has had the opportunity to perform with Miley Cyrus, Annie Lennox and five time Grammy winner Cee Lo Green.

Kay-Ta: guitarist was born in Osaka, Japan, moved to Boston, MA when he was 20 to study Berklee College of Music. His expertise in multiple styles including Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Country and Rock helped him start his career as a session guitarist in Los Angeles. He co-wrote Australian Popstar Cody Simpson’s single “Be The One” and also co–produced the debut album of artist Colby O’Donis from Convict Muzik Geffin/Konlive. Additional credits include his work with Jody Watley, Natalie Cole, Baby Face, David Foster and Keiko Matsui along with a host of others.

Jorge: percussionist and composer born in

Tijuana, Mexico has won over audiences with his style and unique combination of percussion instruments. As a child his inspiration to play drums came after watching his older brother’s band practice in the living room. Wanting to follow in his brother’s footsteps he would sneak and practice on the drums while they were on breaks. Later he attended the Conservatory of Baja California where he was trained by distinguished Russian professors. Then he completed his studies at the Los Angeles music academy in Pasadena, CA.  Jorge is now a co-owner of  Elecfekto, a television and film scoring company. He has worked on soundtracks for movies such as “One Last Score” and “Go For It”. In addition to touring with Quattrosound, Jorge also works with Beth Hirsh of “Air”, Diego Amador, and Alex Acuna.

Giovanna: cellist, born in Toluca Mexico, was destined to have a life and career as a musician. As a daughter of Guatemalan and Peruvian professional musicians she attributes her unique style to her upbringing where she was influenced by a wide variety of music from Celia Cruz to Carole King to Tchaikovsky. Giovanna currently holds positions with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the New West Symphony. Along with being an in demand cellist in Los Angeles she has hundreds of credits for recorded film scores, soundtracks,TV shows and records. Additional credits include The Oscars, Grammy’s, The Billboard Awards,The Tonight Show, Oprah Winfrey Show, Soul Train Awards, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and a plethora of others.
